The local ran the campaign across its membership and their families, so the messages reaching legislators came from households across the state rather than from a union office.

Sixty thousand emails later, the proposal did not survive - and the local had a documented, addressable list of supporters for the next fight.

We did not just win this one. We came out of it knowing exactly who stands with us and how to reach them.
